IEP Process for AT

The Family Center on Technology and Disability “focuses primarily on educational and assistive technologies.  The center’s website includes fact sheets, PowerPoint presentations, monthly newsletters, online discussion transcripts, reviews of assistive technology resources, a database of more than 4,000 organizations, family information guides and more. The website also contains resources in Spanish.”

The Family Center published a very thorough document that was republished, with permission, by the Center on Technology and Disability.  This document provides explicit details and resources for the IEP process specifically relating to finding the right AT tools for your child. The document is titled, “Assistive Technology and the IEP.”

The website for the Center on Technology and Disability has an “IEP Process” subsection that is a repository of useful documents about the IEP process.  Since the website focuses on Technology, most of the resources are about Assistive Technology Tools.
